CLMV Countries Target Double-Digit Growth in International Arrivals

Hanoi: The 8th CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam) Tourism Ministers' Meeting took place in Ho Chi Minh City on August 27. This meeting was chaired by Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh and saw the participation of Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon, Myanmar Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Maung Myint, and Lao Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Darany Phommavongsa.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ministers from the CLMV countries collectively aimed for a double-digit growth in international arrivals. The meeting focused on strategies to enhance tourism cooperation among the member countries, emphasizing the need to boost tourism exchanges and promote the region as a preferred destination for international travelers. The ministers discussed collaborative efforts and shared initiatives to achieve the targeted growth in the tourism sector.
