Nonthaburi, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade moves forward to take action, arresting the yard that dropped the ball, which is considered illegal, emphasizing the severe penalty of 5 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 baht. Mr. Udom Srisomsong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, said that recently, special patrol officers went to the area together with the Provincial Commerce Office and security agencies in the area to inspect palm oil buyers (Pour-out Yard) in Krabi Province. They arrested another pour-out yard that was guilty of causing palm fruit to fall unnaturally in Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province. They seized the fallen palm fruit and pouring gratings and sent them to the local investigators to take legal action immediately. The charge is violating the announcement of the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services No. 25 B.E. 2567 dated July 1, 2567, which is an offense under the Price of Goods and Services Act B.E. 2542, punishab le by imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding 100,000 baht, or both. As for the results of the operation up to now, the Department of Internal Trade has already prosecuted 5 palm oil palm farmers who have violated the announcement, divided into 2 in Surat Thani Province, 1 in Chumphon Province, and 2 in Krabi Province. Therefore, we would like to warn entrepreneurs to comply with the law in purchasing palm fruit bunches according to the criteria and conditions of purchasing, including reporting the quantity, storage location, and keeping a record of palm oil and palm oil products. We also refrain from doing anything that will cause palm fruit to fall unnaturally. If any farmers are not treated fairly in selling palm oil or other agricultural products, including seeing or knowing any clues of wrongdoing, they can immediately report it to the Department of Internal Trade hotline 1569 or the provincial commercial office nationwide. In the case of unnaturally falling palm fruit, the penalty is imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding 100,000 baht, or both. In the case of suppressing the purchase price, the penalty is imprisonment not exceeding 7 years or a fine not exceeding 140,000 baht, or both. In the case of not reporting the quantity, storage location, the penalty is imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding 20,000 baht, or both. and a fine not exceeding 2,000 baht per day for the duration of the violation or until notified in accordance with the Price of Goods and Services Act B.E. 2542.
