Competitions Honour Vietnam – Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations

Colombo: A quiz on bilateral relations and a logo design contest to commemorate 55 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Sri Lanka (1970-2025) were launched on January 3 at the Vietnamese Embassy in Colombo. The competitions are jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Labour, and Tourism, and Colombo Times.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these competitions aim to enhance the understanding and appreciation of the historical and ongoing relationship between the two countries. The organisers hope to engage participants in both countries, fostering a deeper connection through cultural exchange and mutual respect.

The quiz will challenge participants on significant events and milestones that have shaped the relationship between Vietnam and Sri Lanka over the past five decades. Meanwhile, the logo design contest invites artists and designers to create a visual representation of the enduring friendship and diplomatic ties between the two nations.

The launch event at the Vietnamese Embassy in Colombo was attended by officials from both countries, who expressed their support and enthusiasm for the initiative. The competitions are expected to attract a wide range of participants, highlighting the importance of maintaining strong bilateral relations.
