Con dao: The Con Son Station under the Conservation and International Cooperation Division of the Con Dao National Park has recently received an elongated tortoise (Indotestudo elongata) from Radar Station 32 under Regiment 294, Division 367 of the Air Defence – Air Force, according to the park’s Management Board.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the elongated tortoise, known for its scientific name Indotestudo elongata, was handed over to the park authorities to ensure its preservation and safety. The Con Dao National Park Management Board has taken steps to release the tortoise back into its natural habitat, a move aimed at conserving the species and maintaining the ecological balance within the park.
The collaboration between the Air Defence – Air Force and the Con Dao National Park highlights the ongoing efforts to protect wildlife and the environment. The successful release of the tortoise is part of the park’s broader initiatives to support biodiversity and protect endangered species in the region.
