Conference Reviews Implementation of ASCC Goals.

Ho Chi Minh City: The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) held a national conference in Ho Chi Minh City on November 14 to review the implementation of a project on building and implementing an action plan to realise goals of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) until 2025 (Project 161). The conference was held both in-person and online formats.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference aimed to evaluate the progress made in achieving the objectives set out under Project 161. The initiative is focused on fostering socio-cultural cooperation among ASEAN member states. Participants discussed ways to enhance the effectiveness of the action plan and address any challenges encountered during implementation.

The conference saw the participation of various stakeholders, including government officials, representatives from ASEAN member countries, and other relevant parties. Discussions covered multiple aspects of the ASCC goals, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to achieve
regional socio-cultural integration by the 2025 deadline.

The project is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the ASEAN community by promoting cultural understanding, social advancement, and sustainable development.
