Pol. Col. Jittiphon Phonphrueksa, Commander of the Technology Crime Investigation Division 4, arrested Mr. Phromthada or Bai Naad, director of the Thada Gold jewelry store, a suspect in a fraud case and the Computer Crime Act, after more than 500 victims filed complaints at the Technology Crime Suppression Division, with damages totaling more than 85 million baht. While being detained, Mr. Phromthada had an indifferent expression. Reporters tried to ask him if he wanted to apologize to the victims, but Mr. Phromthada did not answer the reporters’ questions, saying only that he ‘would like to clarify with the officers.’
Previously, the Cyber ??Police searched houses and shops in Pathum Thani Province before taking them in for questioning.
