Da Nang Plans to Attract Cruise Tourists with New Strategies

Da Nang: The Da Nang Department of Tourism has announced plans to implement strategies by 2025 to attract a substantial influx of cruise ship tourists. The central city aims to effectively capitalize on this potential market segment by enhancing its appeal to cruise visitors.

According to Vietnam News Agency, forecasts indicate a significant increase in the number of tourists arriving in Da Nang by sea this year. Tien Sa Port is projected to welcome 76 cruise ships, marking an increase of 41 ships compared to 2024. This surge is expected to bring approximately 70,000 passengers, reflecting a 64% year-on-year rise.

For 2025, Da Nang has set an ambitious target to host 11.9 million visitors, including 4.8 million foreigners. These figures represent year-on-year increases of 10% and 17%, respectively. The city is focusing on enhancing its facilities and services to accommodate the growing number of cruise tourists, ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors.

With these strategies, Da Nang is positioning itself as a premier destination for cruise tourism, aiming to boost its tourism sector and contribute to the city’s economic growth.
