Deputy PM Chairs Meeting of Steering Committee for Anti-Money Laundering

Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for Anti-Money Laundering in Hanoi on March 24. After hearing opinions from ministries and relevant agencies, Phoc, who is also head of the committee, directed the State Bank of Vietnam to incorporate feedback and finalise its report with specific, clear tasks and solutions, along with well-defined responsibilities for the coming time.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening the measures to combat money laundering activities in the country. The discussions involved contributions from various ministries and agencies, emphasizing the need for a coordinated and comprehensive approach to address the issue effectively. The committee aims to ensure that the responsibilities of each entity involved are clearly outlined to enhance accountability and efficiency in the implementation of anti-money laundering strategies.
