Deputy PM Orders Prioritising Investment in Work Equipment for Communal Level in Son La

Son la: Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son urged the authorities of Son La province to prioritise investment in commune-level infrastructure and equipment to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the two-tier local government system in the locality. The Deputy PM had a working session with representatives of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee on November 18 to review business and production, public investment, import-export, infrastructure and social housing development, national target programmes, and the operation of the two-tier local governance model.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing infrastructure at the communal level to support local governance and development. The meeting focused on evaluating the current state of business and production activities, public investment processes, and infrastructure projects within the province. Additionally, the discussions covered social housing initiatives, import-export activities, and the implementation of national target programmes.

The Deputy PM’s directive aims to bolster the capabilities of local governments, enabling them to manage and execute development projects more effectively. He highlighted the necessity of equipping local authorities with the resources needed to meet the demands of the community and to facilitate sustainable development across the region. The emphasis on commune-level investment reflects a strategic approach to strengthening the foundational structures of local governance in Son La.
