Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung hosted a reception for Mariam J. Sherman, World Bank (WB) Country Director for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos on June 19 afternoon in Hanoi.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing areas of cooperation between the World Bank and Vietnam. The Deputy Prime Minister and Sherman explored potential projects and initiatives that could support Vietnam's economic development and infrastructural needs.

The discussions also covered ongoing projects and how the World Bank can continue to support Vietnam in achieving its development goals, particularly in sectors such as finance, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. Sherman expressed the World Bank's commitment to working closely with Vietnam to ensure the successful implementation of existing and future projects.
