Deputy PM Urges Gia Lai to Complete Housing Campaign by January 15

Gia lai: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has urged Gia Lai province to finalize the construction of all remaining houses for residents affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi and the historic floods of 2025 by January 15. He made this statement during a working session with the provincial People's Committee.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Gia Lai province experienced severe impacts from Typhoon Kalmaegi and the prolonged floods in November 2025, resulting in over 28,000 houses being damaged or destroyed. Out of these, 674 houses collapsed completely and required urgent reconstruction. Currently, all houses needing repairs have been completed, and over 96% of newly built houses are finished. There are about 23 houses still under construction, primarily larger, multi-storey homes.
