Dialogue Stresses Importance of Building Safe, Child-Friendly Digital Environment

Hanoi: The Ministry of Justice, in coordination with the European Union (EU) and UNICEF Vietnam, held a policy dialogue in Hanoi on August 21, under the theme 'Child protection in the digital environment: Legal frameworks and practice of implementation.' The event was organised under the EU Justice and Legal Empowerment Programme, Phase II (EU JULE II).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the dialogue aimed to address the critical issue of safeguarding children in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The discussions focused on enhancing legal frameworks and exploring practical measures for implementation to ensure a secure online space for children. The event brought together policymakers, legal experts, and child rights advocates to exchange insights and strategies for creating a protective digital environment.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Justice, the EU, and UNICEF Vietnam underscores the shared commitment to child safety in the digital age.
