Hanoi:Khanh Hoa The south central province is rallying its resources to implement the European Commission's recommendations to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

According to Vietnam News Agency, local authorities and fishermen in Khanh Hoa are working together to address the issue. The province currently has 5,120 fishing vessels, each with a maximum length of six metres or more. These vessels have been marked according to regulations, registered, licensed for fishing, and updated in the VNFishbase system, ensuring all vessels are accounted for.
