Can tho: The Japanese Professional Skills College (JPC) celebrated its inauguration and the commencement of its first academic year in the Mekong Delta province of Can Tho. The ceremony was held on October 18 in My Xuyen ward, marking the establishment of the first Japanese-standard vocational school in the region. This institution is unique in the Mekong Delta for its training model that is directly linked to recruitment by Japanese enterprises.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the school was founded following a cooperation agreement signed in 2023 between Esuhai Group and the People’s Committee of what was then Soc Trang province, now known as Can Tho city. During the inauguration, the JPC also conducted a send-off ceremony for 31 students from the first cohort who will travel to Japan for study and work in fields such as electricity, electronics, hospitality, and healthcare. Additionally, the school, in conjunction with Esuhai Group, awarded 345 scholarships valued at over 2.2 billion VND to support students in their educational endeavors.
