Hanoi: The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam commenced at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi, running from January 19-25, 2026. This significant event sees the participation of 1,586 delegates, who represent over 5.6 million Party members from across the nation. The congress operates under the guiding motto of “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development.”
According to Vietnam News Agency, the agenda includes discussions and approvals of key documents such as the Draft Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee. Additionally, the congress will review the Draft Report on theoretical and practical issues related to the socialist-oriented renewal process over the past 40 years in Vietnam. Another critical focus will be the Draft Report on 15 years of implementing the Party Statutes from 2011 to 2025, along with proposals and orientations for amendments and supplements to these statutes. Delegates will also review the leadership and guidance provided by
the 13th Party Central Committee.
