Da Nang:Seven teams from universities across Vietnam participated in the final round of the 2026 national Vietnamese-language speaking contest for foreigners, held on September 25. The competition was organized by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations and Peace Committee, in partnership with the University of Science and Education at the University of Da Nang.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the contest forms a part of Da Nang's 2026 people-to-people diplomacy plan, offering a platform for foreigners and international students in Vietnam to enhance their Vietnamese language skills.
The finalists included students from Laos, China, Japan, and Cambodia, representing universities in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, and Hue. The Ho Chi Minh City Open University emerged victorious, while Hue College and the University of Science and Education at the University of Da Nang secured second and third places, respectively.
