Hanoi: Former Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang has been bestowed the French State's National Order of the Legion of Honour, Class Commandeur, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France. Authorised by the French President, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet gave the noble order to Thang at a ceremony in Hanoi on August 26.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the award highlights Thang's pivotal role in fostering strong bilateral relations during his tenure as ambassador. His efforts in promoting cultural exchanges, trade partnerships, and political collaboration between the two nations have been particularly noted. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, reflecting the significance of the occasion.
