Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, along with his spouse and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam, arrived at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow on September 7 afternoon (local time), marking the beginning of his three-day state visit to Russia at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. The Vietnamese leader and his entourage were received at the airport by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, his spouse, and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Russia, focusing on enhancing cooperation in several key areas. The visit is expected to include discussions on economic, cultural, and educational collaborations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Vietnamese delegation's itinerary is set to include meetings with high-ranking Russian officials and participation in various joint events designed to deepen the ties between the two nations.
