Lang Son: The border gates in the northern province of Lang Son experienced a significant increase in the flow of import-export vehicles during the initial months of 2025. This surge coincided with the peak harvest season for fresh fruits such as lychee, longan, jackfruit, mango, mangosteen, and durian in both southern and some northern provinces.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Management Board of the Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone reported that in the first five months, the total import-export turnover through the province’s border gates exceeded 34 billion USD, marking a year-on-year increase of 36%. During this period, nearly 662,000 tonnes of fresh fruits were exported via the province’s border gates. The Huu Nghi International Border Gate alone accounted for over 179,000 tonnes of the exports, which is an increase of more than 5,200 tonnes compared to the same period last year.
