Hanoi: General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, hosted a reception for Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Ghada Waly, in Hanoi on October 25.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between Vietnam and the UNODC in addressing drug-related issues and enhancing security measures. Discussions included strategies to combat drug trafficking and improve crime prevention efforts in the region.
The Minister expressed Vietnam’s commitment to working closely with international partners to tackle the challenges posed by drugs and crime. Ghada Waly emphasized the importance of international cooperation and praised Vietnam’s efforts in addressing these global issues.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue their collaboration and explore new areas of cooperation to effectively address the challenges related to drugs and crime.
