Hanoi: The 2024 Vietnam-Asia Smart City Summit commenced in Hanoi on December 2, focusing on advancing technology solutions and management strategies to aid cities in modernizing infrastructure and developing smart and sustainable services for residents. The event, themed ‘Smart Cities – Digital Economy – Sustainable Development,’ was co-organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) and the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the summit aims to bring together experts and city leaders to discuss the integration of digital technologies into urban planning and management. The event serves as a platform for sharing insights and experiences related to smart city development, highlighting the role of digital transformation in enhancing the quality of life for urban residents.

The summit features various sessions and workshops that delve into topics such as digital infrastructure, smart governance, and sustainable urban development. Partici
pants are also exploring case studies from other regions and discussing how these can be adapted to fit the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Vietnamese cities.
