Hanoi Restructures Capital Media Toward Modern, Converged Model

Hanoi: Hanoi Press and Radio-Television Agency, a new city-level media body formed through the merger of six local press organisations, officially debuted at a ceremony hosted by the municipal Party Committee on February 5.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the establishment of this agency is part of a strategic restructuring initiative aimed at creating a more modern and converged media model in the capital. This move is expected to enhance the efficiency and reach of local media operations.

The merger includes combining resources and functions of six distinct press organisations under a single umbrella. This development is anticipated to streamline media processes and foster a more integrated approach to news dissemination and broadcasting.

The municipal Party Committee emphasized the importance of this restructuring in adapting to the evolving media landscape. It is hoped that the new agency will play a crucial role in delivering timely and comprehensive information to the public.
