Hanoi Sees Surge in Tourist Numbers as National Day Approaches

Hanoi: Hanoi is entering its busiest tourist season of the year as the capital city prepares for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution on August 19 and National Day on September 2. Hotel bookings have increased by 40-50% compared to the same period last year, with accommodations in high demand.

According to Vietnam News Agency, small and mid-sized hotels, as well as homestays in central areas such as Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, and Hai Ba Trung, are fully booked well in advance. High-end hotels have also reported record occupancy rates. Interest is growing not only among domestic travelers but also among overseas Vietnamese and international visitors. Data from Agoda indicates that Hanoi is leading the country in accommodation searches for the National Day holiday, with a 44-fold increase from 2024.
