Hanoi: Hanoi has welcomed more than 21.16 million visitors in the first seven months of 2026, marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism. In July alone, the city recorded an estimated 3.16 million visitors, reflecting an 11.3% rise from the previous year's figures. This total includes approximately 666,670 international arrivals, which is up by 13.1%, and 2.5 million domestic visitors, an increase of 10.9%.
According to Vietnam News Agency, tourism revenue in July is estimated at 12.3 trillion VND (467.4 million USD), which represents an 11.8% rise from the same month last year. The increase in both domestic and international visitor numbers demonstrates Hanoi's growing appeal as a travel destination, contributing significantly to the city's economic growth. The consistent rise in tourism underlines the effectiveness of Hanoi's promotional strategies and infrastructure improvements aimed at attracting more visitors.
