Hanoi:General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam has urged the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) to emerge as a leading research university capable of executing major national missions. This call comes as Vietnam aims to enhance its technological capabilities and propel scientific and industrial progress.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the statement was made during a ceremony in Hanoi celebrating the university's 70th anniversary and its receipt of the First-Class Labour Order. The leader emphasized the importance of leveraging the university's established reputation and existing strengths to make meaningful contributions to Vietnam's future development.
