Hanoi: The Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee on May 12 held talks with a high-level delegation from the Lao capital city of Vientiane during their working visit to Hanoi. The talks were co-chaired by Tran Duc Thang, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Athsaphangthong Siphandone, member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vientiane Party Committee and Chairman of the Vientiane People's Council.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions aimed to enhance the comprehensive cooperation between the two cities. The meeting provided a platform for both sides to discuss strategies and plans for the new phase of their partnership.
