Hanoi Welcomes 5 Millionth International Visitor in 2026

Hanoi: Hanoi's Department of Tourism held a ceremony at Noi Bai International Airport on July 7 to welcome the capital's 5 millionth international visitor in 2026. The guest is Pi±as Pi±as Maria Del Mar, a Spanish national leading a group of 19 tourists on a 16-day tour of Vietnam. The group departed Madrid on a Qatar Airways flight, transited in Doha and arrived at Noi Bai on the same day.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the milestone signifies a notable achievement for Hanoi's tourism sector, reflecting a robust recovery and growth in international travel to the city. The event at Noi Bai International Airport was attended by representatives from the Department of Tourism and other local officials, highlighting the importance of international tourism to the local economy.

The Spanish group led by Pi±as Pi±as Maria Del Mar is set to explore various popular destinations across Vietnam during their 16-day itinerary. Their visit underscores the increasing interest of international travelers in Vietnam's cultural and historical attractions. The tourism department aims to continue promoting Hanoi as a key destination in Southeast Asia, leveraging this achievement to enhance its global appeal.
