Hanoi Welcomes Over 2 Million Visitors During National Day Holiday

Hanoi: Hanoi received around 2.08 million visitors during the four-day National Day holidays from August 30 to September 2, three times higher than the figure in the same period last year, the municipal Department of Tourism reported. Of the total, more than 80,000 were international travellers, up 35% year-on-year. Tourism revenue reached approximately 4.5 trillion VND (about 180 million USD), an increase of 80% compared to 2024.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the surge in visitors reflects a significant recovery in tourism activities in Hanoi, marking a stark contrast to the previous year. The increase in both domestic and international tourists contributed to the substantial rise in tourism revenue, highlighting the city’s growing appeal as a tourist destination.

The data from the municipal Department of Tourism indicates a robust growth in the sector, supported by various events and activities organized during the holiday period. This influx of visitors not only bolstered the local economy but also showcased Hanoi’s potential to attract even more tourists in the future.

The rise in international visitors also points to an increasing global interest in Hanoi as a travel destination, further fueling the city’s tourism prospects. The remarkable growth in tourism revenue underscores Hanoi’s successful efforts in revitalizing its tourism industry and enhancing its offerings to both local and international tourists.
