Hanoi: The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has formalized its commitment to strengthen ties with its Lao counterparts. On September 30, the committee signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Committees of both Vientiane capital and Champasak province. This agreement is set for the 2025-2030 period and aims to enhance the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam and Laos.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the collaboration focuses on reinforcing mutual understanding and cooperation in front work activities. The parties involved are looking to share experiences and organize joint activities that support the socio-economic development of both regions. This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster closer ties and exchange between the people and governments of the two nations.
