Hanoi: Ho Chi Minh City remains committed to ensuring comprehensive and sustained support for people who have rendered meritorious service to the nation, a city official said at a gratitude programme marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947-2026). Speaking at the event on July 27, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, said all of the city's development is ultimately aimed at improving people's well-being, including providing broad and consistent care for war veterans, martyrs' families and other beneficiaries of preferential policies.
