Homeland Spring Held for Overseas Vietnamese in Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh hosted the ‘Xuan Que Huong’ (Homeland Spring) programme in Dhaka on February 14, creating a warm and festive Tet atmosphere for the Vietnamese community in the South Asian nation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event, held in the capital city, aimed to bring together the Vietnamese diaspora to celebrate the Lunar New Year, known as Tet. It provided an opportunity for Vietnamese expatriates in Bangladesh to connect and engage in cultural festivities.

The programme, organized by the embassy, included traditional performances and activities that highlighted Vietnamese customs and traditions. Attendees were able to enjoy traditional Vietnamese food and participate in cultural activities that are typically associated with Tet celebrations.

The Homeland Spring event not only fostered community spirit among the Vietnamese living in Bangladesh but also served as a cultural bridge, enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and Bangladesh.
