Horseback Trekking Experience Launched at Vietnam’s Northernmost Point

Lung cu: A new tourism product was launched in Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province, offering visitors a horseback trekking experience in Vietnam's northernmost area. Introduced at a ceremony in Then Pa village, the product attracted the attention of local residents and tourists in the early days of 2026. The horseback trekking experience allows visitors to ride on routes, explore rugged mountain scenery, terraced fields and tranquil villages, and gain insights into the traditional lifestyles and cultural identity of local ethnic communities.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative aims to enhance the tourism appeal of the region by showcasing its natural landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of its ethnic communities. The trekking routes are designed to provide a unique and immersive experience, allowing visitors to connect with the local environment and people.

The launch event was attended by community leaders and tourism officials, who hope that the horseback trekking product will boost local tourism and provide economic opportunities for residents. This new attraction is part of a broader strategy to develop sustainable tourism in the region while preserving the area's cultural and environmental integrity.
