HUE: The People’s Committee of Hue has announced plans for the Visit Vietnam Year 2025 and the Hue Festival 2025, set to highlight the central city’s historical and cultural significance. Themed ‘Hue – Ancient Capital, New Opportunity,’ the initiative aims to promote tourism development and strengthen connections between Hue and other regions across Vietnam. The program seeks to elevate the image and brand of Vietnamese tourism, with a particular focus on the central city of Hue.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Visit Vietnam Year – Hue 2025 and Hue Festival 2025 will include over 170 events spread across four main seasonal activity groups: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. These events are designed to showcase Hue’s rich heritage, which includes eight UNESCO-recognised world heritages, numerous national relic sites, and a vibrant culinary culture. As the former capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue is renowned for its historical significance and cultural diversity, hosting hundreds of traditional festivals and offering stunning natural landscapes.
In addition to cultural and heritage events, Hue’s promotion to a centrally-run city status on January 1, 2025, is expected to further enhance its development and tourism potential. The city aims to use this opportunity to solidify its position as a key destination in Vietnam, attracting both domestic and international tourists to explore its unique offerings.
