Indian Navy Ships Strengthen Ties with Da Nang

Da nang: Three Indian Navy ships, including the guided missile destroyer INS Delhi, the anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kiltan, and the fleet tanker INS Shakti, have arrived in the central city of Da Nang. This visit marks a significant step in fostering friendship ties between India and Vietnam as they approach the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2026.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Indian naval contingent, led by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, received a warm welcome upon arrival at Tien Sa Port. Representatives from the Vietnam People’s Navy Region 3 Command, the Military Region 5 High Command, the Military Command of Da Nang City, the city’s Border Guard, and the Department of Foreign Affairs were present to greet them. During their three-day stay, the Indian naval officers plan to visit local authorities and engage in a friendly volleyball match with the Vietnamese navy team.
