Hue: The central city of Hue experienced a notable increase in tourist numbers during the Reunification Day and May Day holiday from April 29 to May 3, with a total of approximately 610,000 visitors. This represents a 73.7% rise compared to the same period last year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, international arrivals to Hue reached 164,000, marking a 129% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, domestic visitors totaled 446,000, which is a 59.5% increase from the previous year. Tourism revenue during the holiday period was estimated at 1.35 trillion VND, equivalent to 51.22 million USD, reflecting an 85% increase compared to the 2025 holiday period.
Accommodation establishments in Hue reported an average occupancy rate of 99% during the holiday, indicating high demand and a successful tourism season for the city.
