Hanoi: The Vietnamese Government is committed to creating policies and mechanisms for the proposed international financial centre that are distinctive and appealing to investors, while ensuring a balance of benefits among the state, investors, and the public. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized this commitment during a conference on May 20, where he discussed the development of the National Assembly’s Resolution on establishing the centre in Vietnam.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Binh revealed that the country plans to establish one international financial centre, which will be operational in two cities: Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. This initiative aims to enhance Vietnam’s position in the global financial landscape by attracting investments through favorable and competitive regulatory frameworks.
The development of the financial centre is expected to play a crucial role in Vietnam’s economic growth, offering new opportunities for both domestic and international investors. The strategic locations in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are intended to leverage the economic potential and infrastructure available in these areas, facilitating a conducive environment for financial activities.
The Vietnamese Government’s approach involves ensuring that the policies governing the international financial centre are crafted to offer unique advantages to investors while maintaining a fair distribution of benefits among all stakeholders involved. This balancing act is seen as essential to foster sustainable development and economic prosperity in the region.
