Italy’s Liguria Region Eyes Stronger Economic Cooperation with Vietnam

Genoa: An Asia-Vietnam business dialogue has been held in the Italian city of Genoa, focusing on opportunities for economic, cultural, and innovation cooperation between Liguria region and Vietnam. Jointly organised by Liguria International, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), and the Asian Economic and Cultural Council, the April 11 event brought together over 50 representatives from Italian organisations, companies, and institutions, highlighting Vietnam’s importance as Italy’s main trading partner within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the dialogue aimed to explore and enhance bilateral economic ties, offering a platform for stakeholders from both regions to discuss potential partnerships and collaborative ventures. The event underscored Vietnam’s role in ASEAN, emphasizing the mutual benefits of strengthening trade and cultural exchanges between the Liguria region and Vietnam. This initiative marks a significant step toward deepening the economic relationship between Italy and Vietnam, focusing on sectors that can drive innovation and sustained growth.
