Khai Ha Festival Celebrates Muong Cultural Heritage

Phu tho: The Khai Ha (going to the fields) Festival 2026 concluded on February 24 at the stadium of Muong Bi commune in Phu Tho province. This event marks the largest traditional folk festival for the Muong ethnic group. The festival is closely connected with the four major Muong regions: Bi, Vang, Thang, and Dong. It serves as an occasion to honor the pioneers who founded the land and pay tribute to the deities believed to protect local communities.
