Kien Giang: The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang is working to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for poor and near-poor households by 2025. The province has set a target to construct over 2,300 new houses and repair 485 existing ones within the year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the financial assistance allocated for building a new house is 60 million VND (approximately 2,300 USD), while the aid for repairing an existing house is 30 million VND. This initiative is part of the province’s broader efforts to improve living conditions for its residents.
