Kien Trung Palace Shines in Hue’s Autumn Sun

Hue:Kien Trung Palace, situated within the Hue Imperial Citadel, glows brilliantly in the golden autumn sun, showcasing its majestic and ancient beauty.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Kien Trung Palace is not only a significant architectural structure within Hue's Imperial City but also holds many historical imprints of the nation. It was the workplace and residence of the final two emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty, Emperors Khai Dinh and Bao Dai.

The palace was reconstructed by Emperor Khai Dinh between 1921 and 1923, incorporating a style that combined French architecture, Italian Renaissance elements, and traditional Vietnamese design. The construction employed modern techniques and durable materials, including cement, steel, porcelain shards, and glass, reflecting the innovative spirit of the period.
