Lam dong: The south central province of Lam Dong has mobilised over 218 billion VND (around 8.38 million USD) from non-state sources to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses as part of the nationwide programme for 2024-2025, provincial authorities said at a recent conference reviewing the implementation of the programme. By August 31, 2025, the province had completed the removal of all 5,691 targeted temporary and dilapidated houses under the programme, including 4,328 newly built and 1,363 repaired homes, achieving 100% of the plan.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative reflects Lam Dong’s commitment to improving living conditions for its residents by leveraging non-state funding sources. The comprehensive approach has facilitated not only the demolition of substandard housing but also the construction of new homes and repair of existing structures to ensure safe and adequate living conditions for all affected residents.
