Phu tho: Prolonged heavy rains from September 13-17 have caused flooding and landslides, claiming three lives in Tu Ly hamlet, Da Bac commune in the northern province of Phu Tho. According to Vietnam News Agency, the Phu Tho provincial Civil Defence Command reported several areas recorded rainfall of more than 400mm, with the highest seen in Cao Ram, Lien Son commune at 440.2mm. Many other locations received 300-400mm rainfall.

Flooding and landslides have led to significant damage, inundating many homes, crops, roads, and infrastructure. The local authorities are currently assessing the extent of the destruction and are coordinating efforts to rescue and support affected residents. Emergency services have been deployed to clear debris and provide immediate relief to those impacted.

In response to the disaster, officials are urging residents to stay alert and follow safety guidelines as the weather situation continues to evolve. Community shelters have been set up to accommodate those displaced by the landslide and ongoing relief operations are being organized to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected population.
