Hanoi: Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay Siphandone arrived in Hanoi on June 7, marking the beginning of his official visit to Vietnam and participation in the third ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) 2026 from June 7-9. This visit comes at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung. Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van were present at Noi Bai International Airport to welcome the Lao PM and his delegation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Laos and Vietnam. The Lao Prime Minister's attendance at the ASEAN Future Forum underscores the importance of regional collaboration and development. The forum will serve as a platform for discussions on future strategies and cooperation among ASEAN member states.
