Xekong: A delegation of the Lao National Assembly, led by Vice President Sounthone Xayachak, visited the Dakcheung bauxite mining and alumina processing complex on May 23. This project, located in Dakcheung district, is a significant industrial initiative invested by Vietnam's Viet Phuong group.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the project is part of the economic, cultural, scientific, and technical cooperation agreement between the governments of Laos and Vietnam. The visit aimed to inspect the progress of this major venture, which is expected to enhance bilateral relations and contribute to regional development.
