Hanoi: Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office, has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over a ceremony to announce and hand over the appointment decision to Trung in Hanoi on August 30.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the decision states that Trung will also serve as Secretary of the Party Committee of the ministry for the 2025-2030 term.
