Istanbul: Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Vice President of the Lao NA Sounthone Xayachack on the sidelines of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) in Istanbul, Trkiye, on April 17.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the legislative bodies of Vietnam and Laos. Both leaders emphasized the importance of sharing legislative experiences to support mutual development and strengthen bilateral relations.

The discussions also highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering closer ties between the two nations. Tran Thanh Man and Sounthone Xayachack expressed their commitment to collaboration and the exchange of information to improve legislative processes in their respective countries.
