Legislators Approve Revised Laws and Resolutions to Protect Civil Rights

Hanoi: Legislators in the National Assembly (NA) have approved revised laws and resolutions aimed at enhancing legal frameworks and protecting civil rights. These changes were adopted on June 24, focusing on amendments and supplements to key legislative areas.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the National Assembly passed the Law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality. Additionally, lawmakers approved amendments to the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants. These legislative changes are expected to streamline processes and improve governance within the country.

Furthermore, the National Assembly approved a resolution that introduces a pilot mechanism empowering the People’s Procuracy to initiate civil lawsuits. This mechanism is designed to safeguard the civil rights of vulnerable individuals and uphold public interests. The approval of these measures reflects the National Assembly’s commitment to strengthening legal protections and ensuring justice for all citizens.
