Hanoi: Lawmakers, at the ongoing first extraordinary session of the 16th National Assembly, on August 13 discussed a draft law amending and supplementing several provisions of the laws on radio frequencies, telecommunications, electronic transactions, and technology transfer, with a focus on cutting unnecessary business conditions and simplifying administrative procedures in the science and technology sector.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the proposed amendments aim to streamline processes in the rapidly evolving science and technology sector. The discussions centered around how these changes could foster a more conducive environment for business operations by reducing bureaucratic hurdles and facilitating easier compliance with regulations.

The draft law seeks to address issues that stakeholders in the sci-tech sector have long identified as impediments to growth and innovation. By revising laws concerning radio frequencies and telecommunications, legislators hope to remove outdated constraints that currently burden businesses and stifle advancement.
