Hanoi: Lien Khuong International Airport in Lam Dong province resumed operations on August 19 after nearly six months of closure for repairs. Flight VN1380, operated by the national carrier Vietnam Airlines, landed safely after departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the airport had been temporarily closed to allow for essential maintenance and repair work on its runway. The reopening marks the completion of these repairs, restoring a crucial link for air travel to and from the region.
