Lustful rider arrested for attempting to rape language teacher

Police took only 6 hours to arrest a perverted rider who attempted to rape a female German language teacher. The rider resisted and was punched in the face, causing swelling and bruising.

At 01.00 am (August 24), the investigation team of Muang Ubon Ratchathani Police Station led forces to arrest Mr. Thitiphong, aged 39, while riding a motorcycle past the front of the 7th Ubon Ratchathani Skill Development Institute after he attempted to rape a 21-year-old female German language teacher at a famous school in Muang Ubon Ratchathani. The incident occurred at 19.30 yesterday when officers received a report that a foreign woman had been physically assaulted and injured and had come to ask for help from a good Samaritan in front of the Chokdee Tea Shop on Sapphasit Road. Officers went to the scene and found the victim, aged 21, a German language teacher, in shock and crying the entire time.

Initial inquiries with the victim revealed that while she was running errands at a shopping mall in downtown Ubon Ratchath
ani at 7:00 p.m., she called for a rider through an app to take her to her home or school. However, along the way, the rider turned into the woods on the side of the road and tried to rape her. The victim fought back and was punched in the face by the rider, causing swelling and bruising, before fleeing to seek help from a good Samaritan.

After the incident, approximately 3 minutes later, the 191 police and the investigation team of the Ubon Ratchathani City Police Station went to the area to check the CCTV cameras until they found out that the perpetrator was Mr. Thitiphong, who lives in the area of ??Ban Nong Pla Pak, Kham Yai Subdistrict. They therefore led a force to lie in ambush until 1:00 AM (August 24) when they saw Mr. Thitiphong riding the motorcycle that caused the incident pass by. The officers therefore revealed themselves and called for him to pull over, but Mr. Thitiphong tried to escape but could not get away. It took only 6 hours to arrest him.

The perpetrator claimed that the language teac
her had provoked him first.

The perpetrator confessed that he was a rider who went to pick up the victim. He claimed that on the way, the victim seduced him by rubbing her breasts on his back. He felt that he might have wanted it, so he rode his motorcycle to the side of the road to see what the victim was doing. She did not resist, so he pulled over to the side of the road and hugged the victim. However, the victim resisted and squinted her eyes. In his anger, he punched the victim in the face twice before the victim ran away. He then returned to deliver food as usual. He insisted that he did not intend to rape her because all of his information was in the app. He could not escape, but he did it because he was seduced. As for his iPhone, he did not take it. He also could not find his phone.

While the social world and rider groups are alert, sharing Mr. Thitiphong’s photo more than 700 times to track him down and punish him because he caused damage to the rider group, initially, the officers tested his body
for drugs and found that the result was positive. The perpetrator himself confessed that he had just used methamphetamine in the morning. Initially, the officers pressed charges on several counts, such as robbery, indecent acts, assault on others, unlawful detention, and driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs (methamphetamine), before taking him to be detained today.

The latest is that investigators have taken Mr. Thitiphong to request the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Court to detain him for the first time on charges of robbery, indecent assault, assault, unlawful detention, and driving under the influence of narcotics (methamphetamine). At the end of the petition, the officers objected to bail because he had a history of fleeing, and because the case was of public interest and was committed against a foreigner.

After the incident, reporters went to the area to talk to the good citizen who helped the German language teacher. She revealed that at the time of the incident, she was taking her fami
ly to eat barbecue. On the way before reaching the mall, she saw a young woman running out of the forest on the side of the road asking for help, so she stopped her car to look. She found that the young woman was frightened and her face was swollen and bruised. She asked her questions and found out that she was an exchange teacher from Germany. She was going back home and had called a rider through the app, but the driver took her into the forest to molest her. She helped call the police and rescue workers to take her to the hospital.

In this regard, I would like this incident to serve as a lesson for women who call for taxi or rider services to capture the screen, take a video clip, and send the information about the vehicle to be used to relatives or someone you trust, so that if something happens, they can follow up and help in a timely manner.
